Simon Beere got the first from Matt Lawday's assist and then turned provider for Neil Leary to score the second.

However, by the period break, Bristol had drawn level as they scored on both their powerplay opportunities.

From then on both netminders, Basingstoke's Alec Field & Bristol's John Dibble, kept the teams off the score sheet for nearly 30 minutes on there way to man-of-the-match awards.

It was the home side who finally broke the deadlock through Mark Pitts at 52:43, but the visitors equalised a minute later and then grabbed the winner three minutes from time.

With the match being played on Rememberance Sunday, there was a bucket collection for the HELP for HEROES charity which raised £66 from the crowd, while the Players & Management of the Buffalo dug deep into their pockets to add a further £50 to make a total of £116
